Landscapes on Sheets
My recent work takes me back to my mural painting days and my summer study in China learning Chinese brush painting.
The full bed sheets give me the breadth and scale of a mural with the lightness of a sheet, and the brush and ink gives me the immediacy and swoop of painting large on a wall.
Hanging the sheets off trees animates the landscapes, swelling the waterfalls and dancing the trees.
Plus, you can fold all the work up and put it in a shopping bag for a show. Easy transport!
